Terms of Use

 

Effective date: October 9, 2026


These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are between you and The Blacklight Group LLC (“Dorpamine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and govern the Dorpamine app and related services. By selecting “Agree & Continue,” creating an account after accepting these Terms, or otherwise expressly accepting them, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

 

1. Eligibility and account responsibility

 

You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms where required. Family Dorps do not waive these age requirements.


Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and notify support@dorpamine.com of suspected unauthorized use. Do not impersonate others, create accounts to evade restrictions, or use someone else’s account without authorization. You are responsible for your own use of the service, subject to rights that applicable law does not allow us to limit.

 

2. Apple and Google sign-in; account linking

 

You may use available email, Apple, or Google sign-in options. Third-party sign-in is also subject to the provider’s terms. Apple Hide My Email may associate a relay address with your account.


Where account linking is supported, follow the in-app verification process to connect sign-in methods to the account you control. Similar names or email addresses do not establish ownership by themselves. Do not attempt to link another person’s identity or bypass verification. Contact support before creating additional accounts if different sign-in methods appear to produce separate accounts. Linking and recovery remain subject to security verification.

 

3. App license and intellectual property

 

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Dorpamine as permitted by these Terms and applicable app-store rules. Except for your content and rights expressly granted here, Dorpamine’s software, branding, designs, and materials belong to us or our licensors.


Do not copy, resell, interfere with, or exploit the service without permission, or reverse engineer it except where applicable law permits. No provision restricts a right that cannot lawfully be restricted.

 

4. Goals, Dorps, challenges, and accountability

 

Dorpamine offers tools for goal setting, progress tracking, reflection, community support, and accountability. Features may include Public, Private, Mastermind, and Family Dorps; journals; events; and group challenges. Participation is voluntary, and results are not guaranteed.


A challenge’s completion status or deadline is an app status and is not independent verification that every participant achieved a result. Group organizers and accountability partners are responsible for their own conduct and representations. Use sharing settings carefully, respect other participants’ privacy, and do not disclose someone else’s private content without permission. Group rules may supplement these Terms but cannot override them.

 

5. User content and limited license

 

You retain ownership of content you create, upload, post, or send (“User Content”). You must have the rights and permissions needed to share it.


You grant Dorpamine a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, transmit, display, and distribute User Content only as needed to operate, maintain, improve, and provide the service, including requested AI processing, moderation, and safety operations. We may use service providers for those purposes. This license does not authorize unrelated advertising use of your private content.


Visibility follows the relevant audience and feature settings. When you delete content or your account, our use ends when deletion is completed, except for limited lawful retention, technical copies pending removal, and copies you have already shared that others independently retain. Dopamus Cloud processing remains subject to the Privacy Policy’s specific no-storage statement.

 

6. Prohibited conduct

 

Do not use Dorpamine for harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, hate speech, discrimination, sexual exploitation, child sexual abuse material, abusive or otherwise objectionable sexual content, illegal activity, fraud, or infringement of another person’s rights. Do not share private personal information without authorization, encourage violence or dangerous conduct, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.


Do not spam users, send unwanted invitations, manipulate referrals or rewards, create fraudulent accounts, evade moderation, misuse reporting tools, scrape restricted data, upload malicious code, or bypass authentication or security controls. Dorpamine has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior.

 

7. Reporting, blocking, moderation, and appeals

 

Use the in-app reporting tools, including a post’s “More” menu, to report objectionable content. Use blocking tools to limit contact from abusive users. You can also send reports to support@dorpamine.com.

Reported content may be automatically hidden while under review. We aim to review valid abuse reports within 24 hours; this is a review target, not a guarantee of a particular outcome. We may remove content, restrict visibility or features, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts to enforce these Terms and protect users.


We may act without advance notice when necessary for safety, security, or legal reasons. To appeal an enforcement action, email support@dorpamine.com with enough detail to identify the account and action. Do not use another account to evade restrictions. We do not guarantee that all harmful content will be identified before it is viewed.

 

8. Dopamus and AI-generated output

 

Dopamus may provide suggestions, reflections, and insights through on-device processing or Dopamus Cloud. The Privacy Policy explains these modes and their data handling. Cloud requests are sent to Dorpamine’s servers for temporary processing; Dorpamine does not store the request content or response on its servers as part of that processing. App content you separately save or share is handled under the ordinary app rules.


AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate. Review it before relying on it or sharing it. Dopamus, Holistic You, Leadership Style, and similar features are not medical care, diagnosis, therapy, legal advice, financial advice, or an emergency service. Do not rely on them for urgent or safety-critical decisions. You remain responsible for your choices and content you share, including AI output.

 

9. Invitations, referrals, rewards, and promotions

 

Share invitations only with people who are willing to receive them. Referral attribution, eligibility, and rewards are governed by the terms displayed for the relevant program. An invitation or attributed referral alone does not guarantee a reward.


Self-referrals, fake or duplicate accounts used to manipulate eligibility, automated signups, misleading claims, spam, and other fraud are prohibited. We may investigate activity and withhold or reverse rewards obtained through a violation, subject to applicable law and the program’s rules.


Giveaways, contests, or other promotions may have separate official rules covering eligibility, timing, selection, and rewards. Those rules govern the specific promotion. Changes to a program must respect applicable law and rewards already earned under its rules.

 

10. Privacy, permissions, advertising, and third parties

 

Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle information. You can manage available device permissions in settings. Certain features may be unavailable without the relevant permission. Accepting these Terms does not grant separate tracking, advertising, or marketing consent.

Dorpamine may display ads or link to third-party products and services. Third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not endorse a product solely because an ad or link appears. You are responsible for deciding whether to interact with third parties.

 

11. Availability, changes, and account deletion

 

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features or the service. We will provide notice where reasonably practicable or required by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

You may stop using Dorpamine or initiate account deletion through Settings → Delete account. If you cannot access the app, contact support@dorpamine.com. Deactivation is different from deletion. If you own a Dorp you want to preserve, transfer ownership before deleting your account; otherwise the Dorp and its contents may be removed and members may lose access.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations, abuse, fraud, security concerns, or legal requirements. Deletion and limited retention are handled under the Privacy Policy and the Account & Data Deletion page.

 

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

 

To the extent permitted by law, Dorpamine is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee achievement of goals, accuracy of user content or AI output, or the conduct of other users.


To the extent permitted by law, The Blacklight Group LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

 

13. Applicable law and general terms

 

These Terms are governed by North Carolina law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise. No provision takes away non-waivable consumer protections.


If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. These Terms and applicable feature or promotion rules form the agreement governing your use of the service. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

 

14. Apple-specific terms

 

If you use the iOS app, these Terms are between you and The Blacklight Group LLC, not Apple. The license is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules, including applicable Family Sharing or volume-purchase rights.


We are responsible for the app, support, maintenance, and applicable warranties; Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance. If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which may refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no further warranty obligation.

 

We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing claims relating to the app, including product liability, regulatory or consumer-protection claims, and intellectual-property infringement claims, subject to these Terms and applicable law. You must comply with applicable third-party agreements. You represent that you are not in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and are not on a U.S. government prohibited or restricted-party list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce this section against you.

 

15. Updates and contact

 

We may revise these Terms and post the updated version with its effective date. We will provide notice of material changes and request renewed acceptance where appropriate or required. If you decline the revised Terms, stop using the service; you may still contact support to request deletion or exercise privacy rights.
